A Gas Engine is an internal combustion engine which runs on a gas fuel, such as coal gas, producer gas, biogas, landfill gas or natural gas.

CYPR gas engine piston ring is mainly applying to LPG and CNG Engines. The piston ring material includes cast iron (ductile cast iron, high alloy cast iron and alloy cast iron) and steel (stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel), the advanced coating, e.g. CCC, CDC, PVD and DLC are widely used. CYPR high performance piston ring has a good wear resistance, high (thermal) scuff resistance, long lifetime and superior fuel economy.

Coating description: Physical Vapor Deposition; CrN based ceramic; introduce the appropriate metal and non-metal elements in the coating to reduce internal stress, increase wear resistance and thermal resistance as well as obtain thicker coating.

Coated ring characteristic: High wear resistance; low friction coefficient; high scuff resistance, no scuffing up to 300 degree centigrade ring groove temperature.

Typical applications: PVD 06 coating recommend for gasoline engine or LDD; PVD 162 coating recommend for gasoline engine and LMDD, and PVD 163 coating recommend for gasoline engine and LMHDD.
